The aim of this site is to provide images of native forest locations in Victoria, Australia, which are under threat from logging/woodchipping and associated operations.
It is hoped that increased awareness of the issue will lead to public pressure on both government and logging/woodchipping interests, so that our fragile, unique and important native forests will be protected.
In the year 1869
In the year 1989
20.0 million hectares, or
88% of the State was forest.
5.4 million hectares,
...that's less than 24% of the state
was forest.
