Welcome to ANGAIR Inc.

ANGAIR (Anglesea, Aireys Inlet Society for the Protection of Flora and Fauna was established in 1969 through the influence of a local resident Mrs Edith Lawn. The Society is dedicated to protecting our indigenous flora and fauna, and to maintaining the natural beauty of Anglesea and Aireys Inlet and their local environments.
Who are we?  The members are a group of volunteers who offer their time, effort and skills to help look after the superb natural assets of this special part of south western Victoria.

Our logo shows some of the species and features which are found in this area:  Anglesea Grey Gum Eucalyptus litoralis,  Nodding Greenhood Pterostylis nutans,  Eastern Grey Kangaroo Macropus giganteus,   White-faced Heron Egretta novaehollandiae  and a land form representing coastal dunes, heathlands, woodlands and the Otway Ranges

The ANGAIR Committee receives advice and recommendations from several special Interest Groups: Flora and Fauna, Propagation,  Environmental Care, Land Usage and Development, Marine and Coastal, Publicity, Library, Finance and Equipment, Annual ANGAIR Wildflower & Art Show and Social.

This arrangement provides opportunities for additional members to become actively involved in strengthening our Society.  Members are very welcome to join any of these Interest Groups.

We hope you enjoy your visit to the ANGAIR Website and will consider joining our Society.  You do not have to be a specialist to become an active member of ANGAIR.  If you are interested in the environment, want to learn more about the flora and fauna found in it, and wish to conserve it for future generations, you will gain satisfaction and enjoyment from being an ANGAIR member.
