Hi there, and welcome to the updated 1999 version of our web page. Below are some photos that were taken during 1998 and over the 1999 new year. The exception is Ingrid parachuting, which was about 3 years ago. I came across the picture last week, and couldn't resist putting it in.
The group photo was taken last winter at Mt Feathertop in the Australian Alps. Its 1900m high, the second highest in Victoria. From lest to right its Jamie, Vicki and Alex, Jenny and Washo, Greg, Shelly and Phil and Ingrid and me. The 12 Apostles shot was taken in August. The 12 Apostles is a rock formation on the coast near Geelong, and as the name suggests, there are 12 cliffs standing in Bass Strait. In the next shot, my mountain bike can be seen resting, after riding across the Bogong High Plains in the Victorian Alps. Lastly, we took my Dad sailing in the Whitsundays in November, and this is the good ship Barracuma, which was, fortunately for me, a doddle to sail.

In October, we went to a home brew/halloween party, where my beer picked up first prize (there were only six other beers!!) Ingrid went as Medusa. The next photo is self explanatory, except that it was taken just down the road from home.
The Croajingalong photos were all taken over the New Year. Crajingalong is a national Park about 6 hours from here, and we went bushwalking there for 4 days, covering about 70 kms of coast. As you can see, the weather and scenery were fantastic, with hardly another person to be seen for 4 days. We saw more Tiger snakes than people.

Croajingalong Croajingalong Kangaroo Island Echidna Sea Lion, Kangaroo Isl.
Kangaroo Island is in The Great Australian Bite, about 200 kms south of Adelaide. Most of the island is national park, and fur seals, sea lions, penguins etc live there undisturbed. The one beach where these sea lion photos were taken is accessed by ranger guides only - the other seal and sea lion colonies are forbidden. The Remarkable Rocks are a group of granite boulders perched on a rocky outcrop, and have been weathered into some strange forms.
