My name is Paul McMahon, I first registered the business in 1986, primarily to release an E.P. for a band I was in at the time. However, other musicians continued to enquire about recording and other things. As you probably already know (if you you are a musician), it is easy to go hungry waiting for heaps of well-paid gigs, so I started to respond to some of these requests and the phone just kept ringing. Since then I have gained experience and tried a few other things as well. Animal Farm Studios now provides a range of services including:- Live Recording.

Live Recording
If you want to produce a live C.D. or cassette or even if you just need a demo to help you get more gigs, AFS can help. My technique is simple and very effective. Live performance (or rehearsal) is recorded directly to Mini Disc in crisp digital stereo, either from mixing desk outputs or ambient microphones (sometimes a combination of both). The results are very acurate and provide an excellent representation of any type of music. Previous satisfied clients range from Death-Metal and Hardcore Rock bands to Chamber Music Groups and Choirs... anything is possible.You can make an acurate, high quality, live recording in almost any gig or rehearsal situation.
