The Home Starter Kit has 6, 80 watt solar modules and a 24v volt 670 Ahr battery bank for improved efficiency and power storage. The kit contains all that is required to power 24volt DC and 240v AC loads such as lights, TV, radio, pumps and other small appliances. The 4 x 6v, 570 A.hr deep cycle battery and 6 x 80w solar modules will supply approx. 1 kWhrs of energy per day (from October to April) to power the basic requirements of medium duty 24v DC and 240v AC loads.
The 700 watt sine wave inverter is useful for 240 v AC loads such as drills, sewing machine, food blender, stereo, TV, video recorder, computer etc. A battery charger is included for re-charging the battery bank during periods of heavy use or low solar input. This system can be expanded at later date. The regulator has the capacity to run another 4, 80 w solar modules.
A solar power rebate of $1200 is available for this system if used for full time residential purposes.
